This guy will lie to without flinching, I have been coming up to Kalbarri for 4 years with my kids during the school holidays and I have been asking every year what mudcrabs you get here and every year iam told the same thing by the owner that you only get green mud crabs here.Every year icrab here I know iIam catching both brown and green muddies so i went to the other tackleshop near the jetty and asked the lady there if you get brown and green muddies here she said we do and straight away identified my crab as a brown.So for the last 3 years I have been throwing away legal brown crabs because the owner either knows nothing about fishing or does not want toristst to catch there crabs.The other tackleshop is more helpfull and knows there stuff and cheaper also.So avoid this shop if you want good fishing advise as they obviously dont fish or just strate out lie to you.Ask what his price mark up is and see if he lies about that to, penn reel $120 at this shop but same one online at dinga delivered for $75 and thats not even on special.Not even worth 1 star, thanks for lying to us and denying me and the kids a feed of crab.We wont be holidaying in Kalbarri next year.
Great little shop, just what you need when coming to kalbarri, has fresh bait good local help. If your expecting a supermarket store well obviuosly you have now idea that you are in a small country town, unsure what the 1 star reviews are going on about, im guessing they are fake reviews as the owners are very freindly, i recommend coming here to stock up on ur already full tackle box!!
Great little fishing store, friendly locals and always stocks fresh bait! Just have a chat with them they will point you in the right direction for a feed of fish. Free local knowledge is the best help you can get.
I dont usually leave reviews but after visiting the tackle shop today and speaking with the owner i thought i would leave one as there have been some negative reviews on here in the past. We all know its hard to find good help so I can only assume these reviewers have been served by a previous employee or owner so wanted to leave a positive review. They were very helpful and had a great range of gear that is all you will need on that part of the coast and gave us some great advice on whats biting and where..
